Meet the Founder

I'm Lalin Kiarttichaiwarakul — the person behind GENÈSE, and the one who still packs many of your orders myself.

Before this, I spent years in fashion and retail: merchandising, e-commerce, the parts of building a brand that customers never see. I loved that work, but I kept circling the same question — why does genuine, well-made leather have to come with a price only a few people can justify? Traditional luxury houses answer that with heritage and scale. I wanted to answer it differently: with care, honesty about what things actually cost to make, and a willingness to meet people where they are.

GENÈSE started small, in Bangkok, at a point in my life when I was building something of my own while also building a family. That's part of why Noah's Ark became the heart of our first collection — it's a story about steadiness through uncertainty, and about beginnings that don't ask to be perfect, only carried forward. I felt that. I still do.

Every Noah Bag that leaves our hands carries that same intention: made properly, priced honestly, and given, when it's needed, a little grace. I hope you feel that when yours arrives.

Founded in Bangkok, GENÈSE was created with the vision of bringing timeless craftsmanship and meaningful design to women around the world.

From there, the rest of the story is really about the name.

GENÈSE is the French word for Genesis, the first book of the Bible—a story of beginnings, creation, and purpose. It represents the belief that every meaningful journey starts with intention and that every new chapter holds the promise of something beautiful.

This philosophy is at the heart of our brand.

Our debut collection, The Ark Collection, draws inspiration from the story of Noah's Ark. A symbol of faith, resilience, protection, and hope, the ark reminds us that even in life's most uncertain moments, there is purpose in the journey and beauty in new beginnings.
